On Saturday I released Illumicore 0.1 to the public. It is almost what I wanted it to be. In some areas it has exceeded my expectations, but in the area of the articles manager and search via Zend_Search_Lucene, I’ve been disappointed.
We’re going to be using this release with slight customizations for our church web site, but once our site is deployed, I’ll begin version 0.2.
You can checkout the site for 0.1 information, but for 0.2 I’d like to outline a general plan.
- Articles manager.
- All bugs in search fixed.
- Search date-ranges in audio.
- Rewrite web audio playlist to be more flexible with file formats, and categories.
- Unify database usage.
- Upload audio files and add to playlist simultaneously.
- Modules. For example you can insert a special events block from a module into the home page.
Basically it will strive to be more flexible, and fix some annoying issues. So that’ll be all until our next release!
