Australian slang, and slobering of the english language. It’s going to take a little while to get used to how people talk. For the most part they’re easy to understand, but I find myself often asking them to repeat what they just said, simply because one important word is missing from my vocabulary, and cannot be aided by the remaining words understood.
But I’ve had a few comments where they like my Canadian accent, so it seems true. The only reason we like other people’s accents are because they’re different, something outside of normallity. Isn’t that true with people as well. We are attracted to those who stand out, who are different, not those who just try to blend in with everybody else. One of the reasons I have not been trying to pickup the aussie accent. It’ll come soon enough.
